Windy Sunday Afternoon, 2017
In the early days of my artistic journey, I found myself captivated by the works of the impressionism masters. Inspired by the likes of Monet, Van Gogh, Pissarro, and Cezanne, I embarked on my own artistic exploration, seeking to capture the essence of their techniques and styles.
During that time, I was a parent to two young sons, and on Sunday afternoons, we would venture to a nearby school field to fly kites. It was a cherished tradition that brought us together and filled our hearts with joy and laughter.
Intrigued by the beauty of those carefree moments, I felt compelled to immortalize them on canvas. With each brushstroke, I sought to recreate the whimsy and delight that accompanied those windy days.
While my technical skills were still developing, and the composition may not have been perfect, this artwork served as a testament to my early exploration and passion for capturing fleeting moments in the artistic style that I admired.
